ABOUT US

Nanochon's mission is to develop a new approach to treat cartilage replacement and repair so that the hundreds of thousands of young, active patients with knee damage can return to their lifestyles without having to undergo costly and invasive short-term fixes. Founded in 2016, our technology is a minimally-invasive early intervention that could help avert the need for total knee replacement. Today, there is a solid clinical standard for treating joint disease: total joint replacement.

While the surgical devices and techniques used have largely been perfected, standard replacement joints are painful for patients; recovery is long, and they will never fully return to an active life. Plus, these replacements don’t last forever. In fact, they have a lifespan of 15 years on average, limiting their use to patients aged 55 and older. This leaves patients between the ages of 18 and 55 who are suffering from cartilage damage, traumatic injuries, or early-stage cartilage loss with limited treatment options.

Nanochon's Chondrograft™ device is a sturdy medical advancement that is one part orthopedic load-bearing implant, one part tissue growth scaffold, and completely revolutionary. Our implant replaces lost or damaged cartilage and encourages new growth using innovative nanomaterial and 3-D printed designs. This technology has the potential to provide a more successful, faster, longer-lasting, and more affordable solution to joint disease and injury.

NANOCHON AIMS TO SET A NEW CLINICAL STANDARD FOR CARTILAGE RESTORATION FOR YOUNG AND ACTIVE PATIENTS.
